This document specifies the general requirements, functional and performance requirements, test requirements, secondary circuits, signs, labels and accompanying documents, packaging, transportation and storage of high voltage multi-terminal DC line and bus protection.

This document is oriented to the protection of multi-terminal DC transmission lines and bus bars with high-speed parallel switches at voltage levels of ±500 kV and above (hereinafter collectively referred to as protection devices), as the basis for the design, manufacture, test, acceptance, operation and maintenance of such devices, and other voltage levels can be implemented with reference.
